I can't say I was surprised because if he were to vote on substance and experience he would have endorsed McCain a while a go. Powell is not an empty suit. Disagree with him, but don't demean him. It won't play politically.<BR/><BR/>He is a great American.<BR/><BR/>I find his reasoning uncompelling. The Court is one of the reasons I support Senator McCain. That is type of stance is why he could not gain traction when he explored the GOP nomination in 1996.
